Privacy policy

What we collect

  • Email address when you sign in (magic link). Used for authentication and, if you follow stories, material-update notifications.
  • Follows and notification history — which stories you follow and copies of update emails we sent you.
  • Suggestions you submit — links and optional notes, reviewed by our team before anything publishes.
  • Unfollow feedback if you choose to share why you unfollowed.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your email or follow data.
  • We do not use third-party ad trackers on the reader site.
  • We do not send marketing email — only sign-in links and material updates for stories you follow.

Email

Notification email is sent through Resend. Delivery metadata (opens/clicks) may be available to us through our email provider. Unsubscribe links in each update email stop notifications for that story.

Deleting your data

Signed-in users can delete their account from Account settings. This removes your follows, notifications, suggestions, and auth record. It does not delete editorial story content or anonymized aggregate metrics we may retain for product improvement.

You can also email us at hello@omnium.news to request deletion.

Security

Passwords are not used — sign-in is via one-time magic links. Data is stored in Supabase with row-level security on user-owned tables. Server secrets are never exposed to the browser.
